Keeping Girlguiding Alive in East London
Partner: 1st QE Olympic Park Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, and Rangers (QEOP Girlguiding) | Location: East London (Stratford)
Empowering girls and young women aged 4-18 to become confident, capable, and resilient individuals by providing a safe, supportive environment to build life skills.
When QEOP Girlguiding lost their local hall, they didn't just lose a meeting space - they lost the ability to store all their camp clothing, sports gear, and residential equipment. Storebox stepped in to make sure their doors stayed open.
“Since the closure of our hall, we lost all of our storage space and had nowhere to keep our equipment. Moving everything into our Storebox locker was the only reason we have been able to keep our Girlguiding units running. Our locker has enabled us to open a new Ranger unit for 14-18 year olds, invest in shared camp clothing to make going away easier, so every girl feels included, and expand our residential, sports, and fundraising equipment. Without Storebox, we simply wouldn't have been able to continue supporting girls and young women in the Olympic Park area.”
— Matilda Marcilio, Leader at QEOP Girlguiding
Want to get involved? If you are local to East London, they host wonderful community volunteering days at their Chigwell Row campsite to mend fences and paint buildings, as well as opportunities for women to help run weekly youth activities!

A Hub of Hope on the Yorkshire Coast
Partner: New Pasture Lane Community Centre (NPLCC) | Location: Bridlington
Supporting and strengthening the Bridlington community by tackling food insecurity, social isolation, and financial hardship through affordable food provision and family activities.
For a busy community hub, turning away vital donations due to a lack of physical space is a heartbreaking reality. Having a dedicated storage unit allows NPLCC to say "yes" to the household items and children's equipment that local families desperately need.
“A storage unit would allow us to safely store donated household and children's equipment that we currently do not have space to keep at our main centre. This ensures valuable donations can still be accepted, organised and distributed to local families and individuals in need rather than being turned away due to limited storage space.”
— Abi Sturdy, NPLCC

Direct Support on the Streets of Derby
Partner: Streetsafe Derby | Location: Derby
A frontline grassroots initiative providing hot meals, sandwich packs, warm clothing, toiletries, and sleeping bags directly to homeless and vulnerable individuals every Monday and Wednesday evening.
In charity work, every single pound saved on overhead is a pound spent directly on a person in crisis. By easing the financial burden of storage, Storebox helps Streetsafe maximize their direct impact on the ground.
“We need all our money to support the homeless, buy and prepare hot food and sandwich packs etc. Any way we can cut back on expenses means that we are able to put more of our money into their support.”
— Streetsafe Derby Team
Want to get involved? Streetsafe Derby relies heavily on its network of volunteers. If you're in the Derby area, there are great opportunities to help cook hot meals, bake cakes, or assist with their evening outreach sessions.
Providing vital relief, advice, and practical support to homeless and vulnerable people, helping them transition safely into stable accommodation.
When a person transitions from the streets into a home, they often start with nothing. Centrepoint Outreach uses their Storebox space to bridge that gap - storing essential furniture to build fresh starts and housing items for their local charity shop to fund their vital operations.
“We are extremely grateful for the storage provided by Storebox which enables us to store furniture to support homeless and vulnerable people moving into accommodation. It also helps us to store furniture which we sell in our charity shop to raise vital funds.”
— Centrepoint Outreach Team
Want to get involved? From helping out at their community drop-in centre and sorting items in the charity shop to joining the collection van crew, they have a place for anyone looking to volunteer.

Using the Power of Music to Heal Global Conflict
Partner: In Place of War | Location: Manchester (Trafford Park)
An international charity using creativity, music, and the arts to empower young people living in areas affected by conflict, climate change, and inequality.
By partnering with iconic global music brands like Ableton and Roland, In Place of War builds community music studios in conflict zones around the world. But before that life-changing gear can ship out to international communities, it needs a safe, secure home right here in the UK.
“Storage support would help us safely store equipment used in our programmes with young people and grassroots music organisations around the world. Through initiatives like #HackMusic we work with partners such as Ableton and Roland to provide equipment that enables community studios, workshops and creative training in communities affected by conflict and inequality.”
