A Guide To Storebox Insurance

A Guide To Storebox Insurance

At Storebox, we want to make sure that all of the items you choose to store with us are safe and secure. That’s why we offer insurance for as little as 85p per week! So what exactly do you get with Storebox insurance? We take a look at some of the FAQs around our insurance coverage and what our insurance can help cover you for.

What does the Storebox insurance cover you for?

We ask that our customers avoid storing flammable or dangerous materials, but as long as your items meet these requirements, then we will be able to cover you. Our insurance will be able to cover you for the following things:

  • Physical loss or damage caused by fire, lightning, explosions, earthquakes and aircraft.
  • Articles dropped there from storms, floods, burst or leaking pipes, ingress of water or other liquid substances.
  • Moth, insect or vermin damage from an external cause.
  • Theft accompanied by forcible and violent entry to, or exit from the unit.
  • Riot, strike, civil commotion or malicious damage.
  • Impact by vehicle or railway rolling stack.

Are there different levels of coverage?

Yes! Depending on the value of your items, there are 3 tiers of coverage and the option for custom coverage if your items equate to over £10k. With Storebox insurance, the higher the value of your items, the lower the weekly rate. For example, if your items equate to £8000, you will qualify for the 85p per £1000 weekly coverage. As long as the contents of your Storebox equates to at least £1000, our insurance can cover you.

What information do you need to apply for Storebox contents insurance?

All we need from you is the value of your contents and an instruction to set up your policy. This valuation will help us  tailor your insurance to you, and find out if you need a more customised level of coverage, for example, if your contents are worth over £25,000. It is important that you clearly define the true value of your items, should anything happen that requires payout. If the true value is not declared right at the beginning, we will not be able to return the true value back to you in the case of a claim.

What happens if I miss a payment?

For us to ensure your goods are covered at all times, payment must be made on time. If a payment is missed, then your coverage will be void and your items will cease to be insured.   To find out more about our insurance cover, give us a call on 0333 111 0770 and if you are looking for a safe and secure place to store your valuable items, book now through our booking form!
