Storebox are now set to offer even more self-storage at our ever popular, Cambridge location!

Storebox have recently received full planning permission to expand our Cambridge site and effectively offer even more storage solutions for businesses, residents and students in the area.

Our Cambridge site is situated perfectly in the North East corner, just off Newmarket Road, and has proven to be one of our most popular locations. Businesses, residents and students can all take advantage of the easy access and ideal location, and now we will be able to provide even more units for those looking for safe and secure storage solutions.

With the expansion comes brand new opening hours, to allow our customers even more flexibility when accessing their units. Customers will now be able to access their self-storage from 6am to 9pm Mon-Fri and 6am-6pm on weekends and bank holidays.

When asked about how this news will affect our Cambridge site overall, our Director of Operations, Sally Hincks stated, “This planning permission will allow us to fully develop our site and increase the number of Cambridge customers we can serve. It’s also good news for investment in Cambridge, as Storebox has now been given the green light to build out the site and hire local contractors for the jobs”.

Storebox enlisted the help of Drawing and Planning, a London based architecture and planning company, to help secure the planning permission for the extension. Storebox have worked hand in hand with Drawing and Planning since 2011 and when asked about the new Cambridge expansion, Managing Director Jeremy Stein said “Another successful application for us! We started working with Storebox Ltd. in 2011 and many of our employees have used storage containers for storing personal items. They offer a great service and we are delighted that they have chosen Drawing and Planning as their Architecture and Planning partner. We wish them every success as they grow to many new locations.”.

Storebox are also happy that Cambridge council have chosen to support this scheme to help improve consumer choice in this booming city. If you are in the Cambridge area and would like to take advantage of our self-storage units, get in touch with us and find out which of our units would be right for you.
