Self-Storage Solutions: How Safe Are They and How Can You Keep Your Items Protected

safe self-storage solutions

Self-storage solutions can help you create extra space in your home or in the workplace, offering you a place to store your treasured possessions. We know you want to be able to rest easy knowing that even though your belongings are not stored under your own roof, they are safe and secure in a Storebox storage unit.

Storebox offer the safest and best value self-storage solutions in the UK, meaning that you can relax knowing your belongings are locked up tightly whilst out of sight. We want to make sure that your items are as protected as possible, which is why we put a few safety measures in place on all of our locations nationwide.

On site security

All of our Storebox sites are kitted out with on-site CCTV and automated gates, which are monitored 24/7 by our central location. Simply roll up to your chosen site after booking your unit with us and enter in your code on your phone to open the gates. Our security system will recognise your phone number and give you access to the site. This ensures that nobody who hasn’t dealt with us directly has access to the site.

We also provide flood lights at all of our locations, so you don’t have to worry about unloading or loading your boxes at night.

Safe and secure self-storage solutions

We want to make sure all of our self-storage units are safe and secure, which is why we provide you with a unique PIN code to access your unit. Keep your PIN safe and you’ll be able to use it to access your own storage unit whenever is convenient to you.

Keeping your PIN safe and not sharing it with others, will help us and you, keep all of your items safe in your storage unit.

Self-storage content insurance

At Storebox, we offer our own contents insurance, to help you keep your items safe and protected. Of course, we take every step to ensure our storage units are safe, but accidents can happen, such as natural disasters and forces beyond control.

Taking out contents insurance is just another way to ensure the safety of your possessions. You can either choose to take out Storebox insurance when you’re booking your storage unit, or have a look into other insurance options. We advise you to get insurance as soon as you book your unit, to make sure you’re fully covered in the case of an emergency or accident.

At Storebox we want you to feel at ease when renting one of our self-storage solutions, meaning we put in a lot of work to make our sites as safe and secure as possible. By keeping your PIN safe and not sharing codes with others, we’ll be able to keep all of our sites and storage units safe from theft or unwanted visits.
